Dr. Mackenzie Gallegos, DVM
Founder & Medical Director
Mackenzie is the founder of East End and the person who first asked whether there might be a better way to bridge the gap between general practice and expensive emergency care.
After graduating vet school in 2018, she completed a shelter medicine internship at Maddie's Cornell before working in shelter and emergency medicine. Those experiences eventually shaped East End's spectrum-of-care approach: practical, evidence-led medicine that looks for reasonable alternatives when the ideal option isn't accessible.

Natalie
Veterinary Technician
Natalie has been part of the East End crew for over two years! She loves all things under the microscope, diving into complex medical cases, and learning something new every day. One of her favorite parts of the job is getting to send patients home to their families once they're feeling better. Outside of work, she's spending time with family and friends and exploring all the good food Houston has to offer!

Natalya
Receptionist
Natalya has been part of the East End crew for over two years! She's the one answering all your questions, pointing you in the right direction, and helping keep things running smoothly. She has great intuition and somehow manages to stay calm and collected even on our craziest days. Outside of work, you can find her studying at local coffee shops or hanging out with her very handsome dog, Gunner!

Marleny
Veterinary Technician
Marleny has been part of the East End crew for over two years! She's our resident cat whisperer and has a special way of making even the most opinionated felines feel comfortable. She loves helping clients find solutions for their pets and making sure they feel supported along the way. When she's not at the clinic, you can probably find Marleny and her daughter making magical memories at Disney.

Leslie
Veterinary Technician
Leslie has been part of the East End crew for over two years! Her superpower is her positive attitude and ability to get things done quickly, efficiently, and safely. She's never afraid to jump in, even with the biggest dogs! She's always keeping it real, making clients laugh, and bringing good energy to the clinic. When she's not at work, you can find her spending time with her son, family, and friends!

Meyer
Relief Technician
Meyer has been helping us out as a relief veterinary technician since we opened four years ago, and we're pretty sure we wouldn't have survived without her! At this point, we joke that she's basically our assistant manager. She's calm, collected, and has a way with animals that makes even the most nervous patients feel at ease. When she's not saving us at the clinic, Meyer works full-time as a teacher. Outside of work, she loves exploring Houston and everything this city has to offer!

The crew isn't finished yet.
Good people don't always happen to be job hunting on the day we post a vacancy, so we're happy to meet you before we need you.
If you believe veterinary medicine can be practical, compassionate, evidence-led and a little less stuck in its ways, introduce yourself. When the right opportunity comes along, we'd rather already know your name.
