How to Refer Us

When ER or specialty care isn't possible, there may still be another way forward. We provide practical, evidence-led urgent and surgical care for patients who need another treatment option.

Give your patient another option.

Sometimes referral to a 24-hour ER or specialist is exactly what a patient needs.

Sometimes the family simply can't afford it.

East End Animal Surgery & Urgent Care exists for the space in between those realities. We provide practical, evidence-led urgent and surgical care for patients who need treatment, but whose families may not be able to pursue the full cost or intensity of emergency or specialty care.

Because when Plan A isn't possible, we don't think the conversation should automatically end there.

When to refer to us

We may be a good fit when:

  • A patient needs urgent treatment or surgery.

  • ER or specialty treatment is financially out of reach.

  • There may be a reasonable treatment option before euthanasia is considered.

  • You need another option for a case beyond your practice's capacity.

  • The client understands that our capabilities differ from a 24-hour hospital.

We work comfortably within constraints, but we're honest about our own. We don't provide overnight staffing, and some patients need diagnostics, monitoring or specialist care that we cannot provide.

When that's the case, we'll say so.

We're here to fill the gap.

We're not trying to replace general practice, emergency hospitals or specialists.

We're here for patients falling between them - and to give referring vets another answer when the usual options aren't possible.
